Dubai - 1996 to 2002

1996 to 2002 were great years for us and saw us profiting from our vision to be the foremost provider to the UAE market. 1996 was certainly tough as the internet had yet to establish itself across the Middle East, although 1997 onwards was an eventful ride that saw us achieve the following:

  • Over 250 client web design and development projects built.
  • Presenting to the Dubai Royal Family on several concepts.
  • Working for major international brands including the likes of British Airways, KLM, Gulf Marketing Review, Crowne Plaza and Benson and Hedges.
  • Implementing a pre-graduate trainee program, allowing us to "give something back".
  • Being invited onto the board of First Tuesday ME where we helped setup, run and deliver successful FT events.

The atrocities of September the 11th 2001 spelt the end of our head office in Dubai due to the downturn in both the World's and the Middle East's economies. Dubai's reliance on tourism has led to a phenomenal boom, but late 2001 and early 2002 saw a large amount of expatriate tourist based companies leave Dubai and with them went our market. Whilst we still operate in Dubai to this day, our head office is now in Bristol with a support team in Dubai serving both our Dubai and UK customer base. We had a great team in Dubai of 15 staff and we wouldn't be where we are today without them.

UK Consulting - 1994 to 1996

1994 to 1996 is a long time ago in the world of the internet! HTML 1.0 had only just been agreed, Bill Gates had publicly said the internet would never succeed and Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator didn't even exist.

Despite this, our Managing Director had the privilege to be involved on projects with both IN.Form design and Matinee Sound and Vision for clients ranging from yell.com to Tesco's and PC Magazine to Williams F1.
