Fairgift

Fairgift™ offer a unique service whereby couples-to-be can order their wedding list from a product range that is 100% Fair Trade. Each product is handmade and the site allows the couple and friends to learn more about the producers plus a description of the country in which the product came from.

The outcome: a fair price for producers and beautiful, handmade gifts for the happy couple!

Situation

As a new business, Fairgift™ required a comprehensive online presence to allow them to challenge strong "traditional" wedding list providers, such as John Lewis.
The Founders of Fairgift™ felt it was key to not rely on the emotive sale, but also highlight the quality of the various product ranges.

Objective

In order to achieve the above, Forward Slash Media worked in conjunction with Fairgift™ to:

  1. Design an attractive and easy to use site that would allow customers to search and browse gifts.
  2. Produce marketing materials to convey the Fairgift™ message.
  3. Perform online marketing, SEO and PPC campaign management to ensure customer conversion.

Results

Three months onto its launch, Fairgift™ is going from strength to strength. The traffic to the site is steadily increasing as is the number of open lists. Phrase Two of the project has already commenced, whereby Fairgift™ have commissioned Forward Slash Media to improve functionality and conversions by optimising the Shopping Cart process, Home Page display and other functions.
